Matt and Emily’s Summer Engagement Session at Whitetail Woods Regional Park with Baseball Theme Inspiration

Engagements

6/25/19

Matt and Emily’s engagement session was at Whitetail Woods Regional Park in Farmington, Minnesota and the weather was beautiful! We had to reschedule from a rainy day, but it was so worth the wait for the warm golden hour shots! For engagement sessions, I always recommend incorporating some personal interests and passions in your engagement session whenever possible since it adds such a unique and special aspect in the photos. When Matt and Emily told me they shared a passion for sports, especially baseball, I just knew we needed to incorporate that in some of their session so we ended the evening with some baseball inspired engagement photos! They were so prepared with a customized bat and baseball to highlight their wedding date!

Matt and Emily met on Match.com and their first date was shopping at Ikea! How fun and smart it is to see how someone is shopping and just running errands with you! I always think it shows someone’s character and patience.

HOW MATT PROPOSED:

“He proposed during out Final Four basketball party. We had a group of our closest friends over and he got up in the middle of the party to make a speech….it was so odd to me lol…he then called me up in front of everyone…again odd!…then he proposed. It was super sweet and fun to share with all of our friends. By the way, all our friends knew the whole time. My best friend even went ring shopping with him, I couldn’t be more happy!” – Emily

WHAT THEY LOVE ABOUT EACH OTHER:

Emily: What I love the most about Matt is his compassion. He doesn’t have a mean bone in his body, he is almost too optimistic about life and is always striving to achieve bigger and better things for himself and for us. He also makes me laugh and smile every single day. He makes me a better person. Matt: What I love the most about Emily is her unconditional love. She is perfect in my eyes. I love that she bends over backwards to make me happy and always thinks of others first before herself. I can’t tell you how lucky I am to have found her!

Enjoy the photos!
