Sawyer and Jamie’s Large and Emotionally Beautiful Colonial Church Wedding

Weddings

July 27th, 2019

How they met:

“Sawyer’s cousin, Emma (my Maid of Honor) is my best friend and has been since 9th grade. I met Sawyer in 2009 and really began hanging out and talking with him in late 2010 and early 2011.” – Jamie

How he proposed:

“Sawyer’s cousin, Emma, got married July 1st 2017. The next morning, it was Sawyer’s 24th birthday. He and Emma have always been close, so they arranged for him to propose to me at the gift opening brunch. He encouraged me to shower that morning, but I kept insisting I would shower when we got home and that it was simply a gift-opening brunch where I didn’t need to look good (whoops!). At the end of opening all the gifts, Emma gave Sawyer a “birthday gift.” He began opening it as I was sipping a mimosa completely unsuspecting. Suddenly, he was down on one knee and I was absolutely in shock! The ring was absolutely beautiful. The first person I called was my sister, who was very excited for me!” – Jamie

What they love about each other:

“I love Sawyer’s compassion, his love for his family and friends, and his willingness to participate in adventure. He is so inherently funny and fun to be around. If I had to pick one thing I loved he most about him, it would absolutely be the way he loves those who mean the most to him. He has shown such compassion and love for his family through difficult times and stood by his brothers as well. I know he will make an excellent father someday. Sawyer loves “my smile, my kind heart, and my outgoing and spunky, and punny attitude.” He says he loves “the way I care for other people and my intelligence, values,  and willingness to go the extra mile.” Additionally, he mentioned he loves my “choice in cats” as we have two perfect fur babies whom we love very much!” – Jamie

The Wedding Day

Sawyer and Jamie are the kind of couple people want to be around. They are both so sweet, kind, and generous. With a large bridal party, a huge family list, and even larger guest list, I knew the day would have some bumps in the road. I made sure I was prepared to give Jamie all the support I could as she juggled last minute changes and trying to catch up on time since hair and makeup began an hour late. While she kept apologizing (as everyone that knows her knows she does WAY too much 😉 … I kept reassuring her that everything was just fine and the best part of the day hadn’t even started yet! I worked my pro photo skills and finished all the photos in record time, while still getting variety and directing a huge amount of people.

The moment the photos were done and the ceremony was starting, I could tell Jamie let go of all the worries and stress because she couldn’t wait to marry her best friend. The ceremony was beautiful and the bubble exit was  so grand! Everyone was so happy and having fun after the ceremony and all the morning worries were long gone! During speeches, everyone was crying or tearing up (including me!) and every moment and word exchanged was so filled with emotion and love for Sawyer and Jamie.

The most beautiful parts of the day wasn’t focused around how every detail was styled to perfection, but that every person was included, loved, and cared for. With a 300+ guests list and a massive bridal party, these two are clearly such loved people and want to share their love with so many others!! I saw some old friends at this wedding as well which made it all the more memorable. I hope you both have such a blessed and happy marriage!
