Nolan and Nicole | October 1, 2021
I absolutely loved getting to take Nolan and Nicole’s engagement photos, but my associate photographer, Kacey, had the honor of photographing their big day while I was photographing another wedding. The ceremony venue was so gorgeous and the large stained glass windows made the perfect backdrop for some stunning photos. They also got to take advantage of a misty golden hour during the reception to take some elegant post-ceremony portraits. These are always my favorite pictures from the day because the bride and groom have this “I just got married!” glow that shines through each frame.
Of course, so many LWP couples have such close and sweet families, but since Nolan and Nicole met through their families, this celebration was extra family-centered. Everyone there was so full of joy and I think you can tell from the photos that there was just so much love surrounding this couple.
How they met:
Bride: “Nolan and I met through family. My sister played hockey with his cousin and our families became close through the years and eventually, Nolan and I met through them and started hanging out. Our first date was at Punch Pizza on Grand Ave in St. Paul. I lived on grand at the time so we walked from my apartment.
How he proposed:
Bride: “Nolan proposed to me on December 19th at our home. I was out for lunch and shopping in Hudson with my mom and sister that day. When I came home he was in the basement holding our puppy next to him with a path of rose petals and candles and above him, there were marquee letters that said Marry Me! It was very romantic and such a special moment.”
What they love about each other:
Nicole: “I love how go with the flow Nolan is he can bring me down to reality when needed and is my biggest supporter. He has shown me that love isn’t all the fluff but truly connecting with your best friend on every level!! He’s the best.”
Nolan: “She keeps me on my toes and is very loving.”
This wedding was so classy, fun, and sweet to edit! I hope you enjoy getting a little glimpse into Nolan and Nicole’s special day!
