Light and Airy Luxury Fall Wedding at The Hutton House

The Hutton House in Medicine Lake, Minnesota, is one of my favorite wedding venues that I have ever shot at! The bright white walls and decor give such a sophisticated and elegant touch to all of the photos and really make the florals pop! I also loved the purple getting-ready robes for the girls! (hehe if you know me, purple is my absolute favorite color) The Hutton House is such a great venue all year round because it allows you to take all the photos inside or outside no matter the weather! Since it was cold and windy, we only did 7 minutes of photos outside the whole day and no one was even mad about it because inside the venue is so gorgeous! The ceremony photos were so stunning with the happy couple and romantic fireplace. The night ended with some touching speeches and sweet dance photos. I adored how much marriage was so strong and long-lasting in both of their families. During the couples dance, there were around 10 couples still standing for 30+ years of marriage and the longest was 60 years of marriage! Talk about #couplegoals! Overall, an absolutely gorgeous day celebrating such a special couple! Congratulations Michael and Jenny!

How they met:

Bride: “We met while getting our Master’s degrees in Miami, FL; I was in school to become a Physician Assistant and Michael was in school to become a Landscape Architect. One of my best friends from my program, Erin, was dating one of Michael’s friends from his program, Kevan; one night they invited us to Kevan’s apartment for what we thought was going to be a party with several of our friends but it ended up just to be the four of us. We still aren’t sure if this was planned or not — though we suspect it was. Either way, we’re glad it happened because we hit it off immediately and have been dating ever since.”

How he proposed:

Bride: “We got engaged on 9/26/2020, we were on a weekend trip in the Blue Ridge Mountains. After a long day of hiking, we were enjoying a glass of wine at the cabin on the deck overlooking the mountains, I was starving as we had missed lunch and was snacking on Cheez-its, allegedly I almost “ruined” things by offering him a Cheez-it mid-proposal. Thankfully he quickly recovered, completed his proposal and I of course said yes!”

What they love about each other:

Jenny: “We are almost always on the same page, he evens me out and makes me feel calm and at home. He is also tall and gives great hugs.”

Michael: “I love Jenny’s personality, we mesh very well and she brings out the best in me. Also, she has cute dimples.”
