WITH LINDSEY WHITE PHOTOGRAPHY

Where are you located? Do you travel?

I’m located in Orlando, FL but LOVE to travel and I am passport ready to go where you go! Especially to tropical beaches or mountainous locations! I'm originally from Minnesota and happy to travel back.

Do you offer Military Discounts?

Yes! I offer $100 off weddings and $50 off other sessions to thank you for serving our country! I require proof of military ID.

Are you open to requests for certain poses or groupings?

Yes, of course! I have a series of poses I flow through to ensure you have the best variety and everything covered, but you're totally welcome to mention specific things you have in mind! I'll do my best to get it all in, just make a list and send them to me prior to the day. I strive for a variety of posed, natural, and candid images.

How long is the turn-around between the wedding and when we receive our photographs?

The turn-around time to receive your images after a wedding is 8-10 weeks and 4-5 weeks for other portrait sessions, like seniors or engagement photos. If you need certain photos by a certain deadline, such as ordering thank you’s, gifts, invites, yearbook submissions, etc, then please inform me ASAP within 2 days following the session.

What format will we receive our photographs in?

The images will be delivered through email in an online gallery where you can download all the fully edited, high-resolution images on your computer, or you can download the free app on your phone and download individual images right to your phone for each social media sharing. You'll be able to order high-quality, yet affordable prints through the online gallery. Otherwise, I do give you printing rights if you decide that you want to order prints somewhere else for things like holiday cards or thank you’s. You can also share your online gallery with friends and family through a URL link so everyone can save images and order prints if you'd like to give that option!

Will we receive the negatives and/or high-resolution digital images?

I don't release any negatives/raw/unedited images, but for weddings, I do provide all the best images from the day in fully edited, high-resolution quality. Typically, you can expect to receive 50-100 images per hour, which could be anywhere from 700-1,200 images for a full 8 hour wedding day. For other non-wedding sessions, you’ll receive the number of images you’ve purchased and may purchase more after the session during the image selection meeting.

Will we have the rights to the images?

You have usage rights to the images to share, use, and print the images as you please. My contract outlines all the details involved with rights. You'll be able to order high-quality, yet affordable prints through the online gallery. Otherwise, I do give you printing rights if you decide that you want to order prints somewhere else. However, I wouldn’t recommend printing anything larger than 5x7 from places like Walmart, Walgreens, Target, or Costco because they may not be the best quality since the colors can change when printing at those places.

Are albums or prints included in your packages?

I don’t include or require any prints or albums in my packages/collections because I don’t like to pressure or box in my clients to buy things they don’t need, so I prefer to keep them as a la cart add-ons. Collections are customizable upon request.

What types of prints and albums do you offer?

All printing is done in a professional-grade printing lab with the best equipment for high-quality photos and vivid colors, which have a longevity of 100 years in typical display conditions. You can order prints and design albums or cards as well through the online gallery. There are various album sizes ranging from 8x8, 10x10, or 12x12.

Do you have insurance?

Yes, I have liability insurance and other protections listed in my contract. I also have protections on my equipment and I have backup equipment.

What’s the booking process for a wedding?

1. Email me. Fill out my wedding contact form on my website. Tell me all about your big day and everything you’re looking for. I’ll send you my wedding pricing guide brochure and all the details you need to begin. Once you choose the collection you’d like and submit the brochure, then I will send you a proposal.

2. Complete the booking process. To complete the proposal and lock in your date, you can sign the contract and pay the non-refundable $2,000 retainer, which goes towards the final balance. When everything is formalized, I will begin sending you information and helpful tips to aid you in the planning process.

3. Engagement photos. Here’s to the fun part! This is where you two have fun and spread the love. I’ll take away all the uncertainty and stress you may have by posing you with natural and fun positions that complement how you two fit together. I will deliver your 50 images in 4-5 weeks from your session day through an online gallery.

4. Create a timeline TOGETHER. Since much of the day revolves around photography and lighting, I like to plan the timeline together with my couples to ensure a smooth and stress-free day! I will email you a timeline questionnaire to ask you about your plans for the day, and then I will put together the timeline FOR YOU! The timeline will be on a Google Doc so I can share it with you and you can make comments about changes and I will be able to see it right away without having to re-save new versions of the timeline.

5. Chatting about final details. As your big day approaches, we will discuss the final details to ensure everything looks great, the timeline is organized, and give you any recommendations that will help ensure things go smoothly.

6. Wedding day. Yay! It’s time to marry your best friend! Besides capturing your special day, I will be doing everything I can to ensure your day is stress-free, fun, and goes as smoothly as possible. My goal is for you to remember all the wonderful moments I captured throughout the day so you can look back years from now and smile at the memories you’ve held close to your heart.

7. Gallery Delivery. You can expect to receive your finished wedding gallery 8-10 weeks after the wedding in a beautifully displayed online gallery. You can download, print, and share all of the high-resolution digital files with the convenience of the easy-to-use mobile app so that you can keep your photos with you wherever you are!

Should we do an engagement session?

Yes! Doing engagement photos is a great way for us to get to know each other and get comfortable so you can see how I work and learn the poses I do. This makes the wedding day a breeze, much more fun, and you get the most out of your time since posing will be easier doing it the second time around! Another major perk is that you’ll have professional photography of your wedding day when you look your best, and professional photography of how you both look more realistically on a day-to-day basis. When you hang both photo sessions on the wall from the same photographer, there will also be more consistency in the photo style if you print and display the photos next to each other. Plus, guys always seem to do better with photos on the wedding day when they understand what is all involved with the photos and what they can expect.

What is a first look?

A first look is where you plan to have an intimate moment to see each other for the first time before walking down the aisle and it allows you to enjoy the emotions without feeling the pressure of an audience. Plus, it allows you to get way more photos done before the ceremony, such as bridal party photos, so you can spend more time together on your wedding day and spend more time with your guests after the ceremony instead of doing so many photos and making them wait. You get 30% more photos and it's just as special and emotional as if he was to see you for the first time walking down the aisle. A first look is the MOST COMMON choice in recent years. 90% of my couples share their first few intimate moments together privately during a First Look... without over 100 guests watching their every move. They find this time together to be more special and more sincere since it’s just the two of them, and we stand back and wait for our queue to begin portraits.

Despite popular belief, the First Look does not take away the special and sacred moment of the bride coming down the aisle to her groom, if anything, it strengthens the emotions of that moment because the anxiety, nervousness, and uneasiness of the day have been removed. Tears are going to happen either way or not happen at all. For most brides, it’s very important for them to see their groom respond emotionally to how beautiful he thinks she is. I have found that that puts a lot of pressure on the groom, especially if he isn’t a very emotional guy! So, I remind my brides that if their guy isn’t a crier normally, it would be wise to not expect him to cry on the wedding day. However, I have seen several non-emotional grooms shed tears when they are seeing their bride for the first time in a private, intimate environment instead of in front of all of their guests. So, the moral of the story is, if you’re desiring to experience a tender, sweet moment with your groom, you are more likely to experience that interaction if you allow TWO opportunities for that to happen!

I consider it my duty to make sure that you are well educated so that you can make a decision that is right for you and your unique day!!! So, with ALL of that being said, the decision is yours and I will do EVERYTHING humanly possible to create the BEST possible experience for you NO MATTER WHAT you decide!! I respect your decision and your opinions so please don’t hesitate to ask me questions as you discern whether or not a First Look is right for you!! No matter what, you’re going to have the most beautiful wedding day! I just want to make sure I help you make it as stress-free as possible!

How long have you been photographing weddings, and how many weddings do you photograph a year?

I have been a photographer since June 2012, so 12+ years of photography experience. I have been photographing weddings since 2014. Each year fluctuates on how many weddings I take since it's based on the demand and my pricing. On average, I take on 15-20 weddings a year, depending on how spread out they are. I have photographed 200+ weddings and counting!

How many pictures are the average that we get at the end of a wedding day?

You can expect to receive anywhere between 50-150 photos per hour of coverage. So, for an 8 hour day, that's an average of 700-1,200 edited photos.

Can I see a full album from a recent wedding?

I have experience photographing weddings in a variety of situations and settings, such as darker churches, fully outdoor weddings, weddings where it rained literally all day, small weddings, large weddings, and weddings far away, etc. Here are some example wedding albums:

Do you check out the venue beforehand to scope out good picture places?

This is where trust in your photographer is important. Truthfully, I don't have the time to travel to every venue on my own dime to look at an empty venue with lighting that might not even be consistent with the light we have on your wedding day. However, I always show up early on the day of to scope out the venue where the best lighting will be for photos. I’ve also been able to google search the satellite view of the venue and view other images taken at the venue on the website as a reference to plan my spots and know what to expect. However, I HIGHLY recommend sending me photos and videos of getting ready rooms, ceremony/reception, or outside photo spots if you are going to the venue prior to the wedding.

What happens if you get sick/something comes up and you can't photograph my wedding? Do you have backup equipment in case something breaks mid-wedding?

If I get sick or have an emergency that comes up, I have backup photographers who can fill in for me who I've worked with and will know exactly how I would do things. They share my experience level and I would be editing all the images they take to ensure my style is consistent. I do have backup equipment and try to always prepare for anything. For emergencies or sickness, I make sure to choose second shooters who would be skilled enough to take a lead for me if needed, and then I would try to find another second shooter. I have a list of go-to photographers that I work with and I train them how to capture everything necessary so there is consistency between shooters and photos. I have backup second shooters and I have backups for my backups, too!
