Jake and Lindsey tied the knot this past July at The Hutton House for a destination wedding in Minnesota, and it was nothing short of perfection! The Hutton House is one of my absolute favorite wedding venues in Minnesota with its clean, all-white exterior and interior, making it a photographer’s dream. The bright, modern design creates stunning photo opportunities both indoors and outdoors, no matter the weather. From the gorgeous florals to the intimate moments shared by this amazing couple, every part of the day was filled with elegance and love.
Although Jake and Lindsey live in Orlando, Florida, they chose to celebrate their big day with family and friends back in Minnesota. It was the perfect mix of their new life in sunny Florida and their roots in Minnesota, and perfect for me to photograph in both of my “homes!”

Lindsey was absolutely radiant in her white gown, while Jake looked incredibly sharp in his all-black suit. They even included a special guest in their couple’s portraits—Lindsey and Jake’s adorable pug! It was a day filled with laughter, love, and so much joy as their closest friends and family gathered to celebrate with them.
Not only did they have a fun coffee cart for guests, but they also added a sweet twist—pup treats to take home for your furry friends! It was such a thoughtful touch that made the day feel even more personal and inclusive.

Jake and Lindsey’s love story started with a modern twist—they met on Tinder! After messaging for a few days, they decided to meet for their first date at Caribou Coffee in St. Louis Park’s West End. That coffee date turned into dinner at Applebee’s, and to top it off, Jake even introduced Lindsey to his mom and sister on the first night! From that moment on, it was clear they had something special.
Since that first meeting, their favorite date nights have been spent exploring Disney Springs or grabbing dinner at their favorite Mexican restaurant. Whether they’re grabbing coffee or enjoying a night out, Jake and Lindsey’s relationship has always been rooted in fun, laughter, and a deep connection.
A Heartfelt Proposal with a Twist
Jake’s proposal story is just as thoughtful as their love story. He planned a perfect day that brought them back to where it all began—Caribou Coffee in West End. After reminiscing about their first date, they had happy hour at Crave, where Jake surprised Lindsey with a book he had written about their love story. The emotions were already high when Jake almost proposed in the car, but Lindsey unknowingly stopped him!
But Jake had bigger plans. After “killing time” at the mall, they headed to Kona Grill (their second-date spot) under the guise of picking up takeout. To Lindsey’s surprise, they walked inside to find a table full of their closest friends waiting to celebrate. Jake got down on one knee and proposed, and the room erupted in cheers and champagne! It was the perfect proposal, surrounded by all their Minnesota friends.
What They Love About Each Other
One of the most beautiful things about Jake and Lindsey’s relationship is how much they truly value and support one another. Lindsey says, “I love that Jake makes me feel safe and comfortable all the time. He thinks about the little things and always supports me in everything I do.” Jake, in return, loves that Lindsey always has his back. “We’re a team, and she’s helped me grow so much as a person,” he shared.
Their connection is rooted in mutual respect and admiration, and it’s clear they’ve built a partnership that will last a lifetime.
Their Passions and Hobbies
Jake and Lindsey are not only head-over-heels in love, but they also share some incredible hobbies. Jake is passionate about golf and has moved to Florida to pursue his lifelong dream of playing on the PGA Tour. He’s also a huge sports car racing fan, and every year he and Lindsey attend the Rolex 24 race in Daytona with his sister. Lindsey loves to cook, bake, and, of course, shop—she could spend all day finding the perfect clothes!
Their perfect Saturday? Grabbing coffee and breakfast before heading to Cocoa Beach for a day of sun, sand, and fun. They pack snacks, Pub subs, and drinks for the perfect beach day. It’s the little moments like these that make their time together so special.
