I had a blast with Travis and Jess during their Lake of the Isles and Bde Maka Ska summer engagement session! These two lovebirds met through mutual friends in college. They stayed acquaintances for a couple years post graduation but reconnected in the midst of COVID during a virtual game night with friends. How fun is that!!
They went on their first date a few weeks later at Bde Maka Ska with a walk around the lake and a picnic. Then a couple of years later, Travis proposed to Jess on a trip to Denver, CO. They took a day trip out to Evergreen to hike and he popped the question at the summit! How romantic!!
It’s so clear these two adore each other! Jess loves Travis’s calm, understanding nature and how he shows kindness to those around him. Travis loves Jess’s easy and fun-loving personality. As you might be able to tell from the proposal location, these two love hiking, skiing/snowboarding, and cooking together!
When the couple thinks of their perfect Saturday together it consists of sleeping in, a slow morning with a delicious breakfast and time spent outside with their friends and family. That sounds like such an incredible way to spend a day!
Their engagement session was so perfect and I think it definitely embodied them as a couple! It took place at their first date location: Bde Maka Ska! We had the best summer evening with a mix of greenery, flowers and the lake!
I loved their outfit choices! Neutrals are always a good option and go well with any surroundings. Jess’s first outfit in her pattered print dress was so cute! And a white top with light-colored jeans is always a great go-to!
I truly had so much fun and can’t wait for their big day next summer at the coming soon venue The Aisling! I know it’s going to be a beautiful day and I couldn’t be more excited!
