I had the best time with Alex and Natalie at their downtown Minneapolis engagement session! We strolled down St. Anthony Main and the Stone Arch Bridge for their session and had a blast. I’m so happy that they brought along their sweet pup Josie! I mean, look at how adorable she is?? She definitely stole the show.
I love photographing downtown Minneapolis engagement sessions, especially along the St. Anthony Main area. It’s so versatile with its greenery, cobblestone streets, cool architecture, and more. Natalie and Alex’s outfits complemented each other so well too! I’ve always been a big fan of neutrals and light colors because they always fit with any background.
Alex and Natalie met in college at a football game. Natalie’s freshman-year roommate happened to be from the same hometown as Alex. One of their favorite date spots is Dave and Buster’s because they both love games and are super competitive!
Once they knew they wanted to spend the rest of their life together, Alex planned a very special proposal. Natalie’s family was visiting Sacramento (Alex’s hometown) for a triathlon. Alex flew in and gathered family/friends to surprise Natalie at a rose garden where they had planned to “take family Christmas card pictures.” How sweet is that! We all know what Natalie’s answer was of course!
Natalie loves how Alex can get along with anybody and everybody. He’s goofy, confident, and has the ability to make anyone smile! Alex loves that Natalie is incredibly selfless, cares for others, is dedicated to her work, and is always willing to help others in need.
Alex is a medical device sales rep, while Natalie is a physical therapist. When they’re not working, they love to do anything that involves their sweet golden retriever, Josie. Natalie also enjoys workout classes, playing games, knitting, and these days wedding planning! Alex likes to keep active by playing a game of pickleball or a round of golf. Their ideal Saturday would be a nice day at the lake with friends/family and the dogs.
